340 Royce Drive
Los Angeles, California 90095

From Mexican-American acoustic folk to raucous roadhouse blues, from aural magic realism to yearning ballads, Los Lobos’ Royce Hall appearance will encompass everything that has made the group the essential band of Los Angeles. Childhood friends David Hidalgo, Cesar Rosas, Louie Perez and Conrad Lozano, with long-time member Steve Berlin, have gone from East L.A. neighborhood parties to multiple Grammy Awards. Throughout, they’ve chronicled the joys and sorrows of a community whose immigrant roots extend to many lands. Their 2006 album “The City and the Town” revealed a revitalized band; it’s a veritable state-of-the-city , crafted with equal parts heartfelt affection and steely-eyed observation. Those songs and others feature in a sure-to-be-lively hometown concert.
