The Prints and Drawings Council of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art hosts the 21st Annual Los Angeles Fine Print Fair, with the support of the Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts/UCLA Hammer Museum and sponsored by the International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA). A special Preview Reception will open the 2006 Los Angeles Fine Print Fair on Friday, January 27th, from 6 to 9 p.m., benefiting the Department of Prints and Drawings at LACMA. The Reception will welcome twenty-five fine print dealers, all members of the IFPDA, offering art priced between $200 and $200,000. Dealers C.G. Boerner, J&G Goodfriend and Robert Genser will present an extensive collection of 16th century to 21st century works on paper including Old Master and German Expressionist prints. Representatives from Contemporary fine art presses Arion, Gemini G.E.L, Mixografia and Tandem will be participating in the fair, and New York galleries Marlborough and Mary Ryan will exhibit Contemporary master prints. 18th/19th century French and European prints will be shown by dealers R. M. Light, Joel Bergquist and Richard Reed Armstrong, antique and modern Japanese prints will be offered by Egenolf, Carolyn Staley and Verne Collection, and a wide range of 19th and 20th century American, Latin, modernist, and regionalist prints will be exhibited in the booths of these and other nationally acclaimed galleries. The Reception will feature the public unveiling of a new print by Los Angeles emerging artist Aaron Morse, published by the Prints and Drawings Department of LACMA; the artist will be present at the reception. The Los Angeles Fine Print Fair is open to the public on January 28th, from 11am to 7pm, and 29th, from 11am to 5pm.
