In this Forrest Yoga Intensive Class you will learn to create freedom and strength in hips, neck, & shoulders. Learn to safely unlock these habitual tension spots through intensely focused breathwork and asana (including inversions, standing poses, and vinyasa). Strengthen and lengthen the muscles around these joints, and create space in these areas. This work helps you walk through your life with grace and freedom. Come sweat, breathe deeply and leave class feeling cleansed, refreshed and alive!

Denise Hopkins grew up in the heart of Cajun country, Lafayette, Louisiana.

After working 12 years in fashion, she discovered yoga as saving grace to life in this competitive industry. She studied Vinyasa for 5 years and then found her calling in the style of Forrest Yoga. Studying with Ana Forrest in Chicago, she completed her teacher training in 2005. In her classes, Denise stresses the combination of breath and movement, as well as long holds in poses as a way of breaking down emotional walls held in the body. Her approach is challenging and focused, but always playful.
