Long Beach Symphony Orchestra's 'American Legends' April 4, 2009

The Long Beach Symphony Orchestra (LBSO) presents its second-to-last concert of the season with 'American Legends,' on Saturday April 4, 2009 @ 8 p.m. in the Terrace Theater.

The LBSO will be playing from Copland's 'Rodeo,' Tomasi's 'Concerto for Trombone,' Barber's 'Essay No. 1' and Gershwin/Gould's 'Porgy and Bess.'

The great American spirit will soar with these tuneful echoes of cowboy legends and creative takes on jazz-influenced melodies.

Trombonist Alex Iles will be featured as a soloist for this event.
