Isn't it amazing how bad some Web2.0 apps can be ...

The Yahoo maps link takes you to Street in Somerset, the Google one insists there is no such place in America (not surprisingly!) and even if you slide the overview map to include the UK it still won't take you to the right location.

Multimap goes straight there though:

WAR OF THE WORLDS

Is Kaneva cooler than Second Life? Does Entropia beat Eve Online? Have a look at WAR OF THE WORLDS and join the fight. There are loads of virtual worlds competing. You can simply vote which one you like most by clicking on a logo versus another one at the time. We cloned this application on Ning (thanks David). Just like its previous incarnation ‘Brand vs Brand’ this game asks ‘Who is best?’, which is, like David writes:

‘an impossible question as each brand (in our case ‘world’) stands for it’s own individual values, but curiously you will always choose one over another - if asked. Brands therefore take on an anthropological strength yet maintain their hyperreality. I find this interesting..’ (we as well)

You can also add your own favorite virtual world by uploading its logo to increase the pool of competing worlds. Once we had aliens to fight, things were quite straight. Now that we have hundreds of worlds, all inhabited by humans, who’s gonna win the war? Let the WAR OF THE WORLDS begin.
