In association with the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (NHMLA) and Glendale Arts, the Alex Film Society presents a screening of Lon Chaney's THE PENALTY, a psychological thriller filled with violence, sadism and a touch of nudity. Not your typical silent film!

The 1920 silent film stars Lon Chaney as Blizzard, an angry, sadistic crime boss hell-bent on exacting bitter revenge on the doctor who jumped the gun in amputating his legs following a childhood accident.

Specials guests: Lon Chaney biographer Michael Blake and from the Los Angeles County Natural History Museum, Honorary Research Associate in History, Heather Robinson Long.
