Local history day (Alton and surrounding villages) May 15, 2010

Alton and some of the surrounding villages are holding a Local History Day on Saturday 15 May in the Large Hall in Alton Assembly Rooms between 10.00am and 3.00pm.

The area has a history to be proud of - so come and find out about where you live. There will be displays and resources including old maps, directories, census returns and much more - with free entry to all. The event is supported by Alton Town Council in this 130th anniversary year of the Assembly Rooms.
