St. Nicholas Place, Princes Dock, Pier Head
Liverpool, England L3 1QW

In November 2008 the Crowne Plaza Liverpool will play host to one of the highest profile technology events ever staged in the UK.

Businesses of all sizes from around the world will join together to celebrate and explore the meaning and future of technology.

Selected businesses will have the opportunity of pitching to a panel of millionaire investors with a combined worth of £1/4bn. The panel will share their expertise and provide presenters with advice and guidance on raising finance and growth.

The event will showcase some of the region´s rising stars in the technology space and will attract business leaders from companies of all sizes. One of the world´s most successful private investors has agreed to speak. Richard Farleigh of Dragons Den fame features in the Sunday Times Rich List and is a multimillionaire who acquired his wealth through investing in British Technology Companies. Delegates will have the opportunity to meet Richard and hear first hand his extraordinary success story.

This is the second year the event is being run and is strictly by invitation only. Designed to coincide with the Waterfront Expo 2008, representatives from cities including Shanghai and San Francisco will be attending.

It may be called Software City but the event is NOT aimed simply at software businesses. Rather it´s an opportunity for blue chip corporates to engage with smaller businesses and for organisations of all sizes to share ideas and debate technology in business. An after show networking party will take place in Liverpool´s PanAmerican bar at 6.30 pm where businesses can make connections and meet the panel informally. It´s the week of the MTV Europe music awards so Liverpool will be buzzing!

Free event, but registration is required. Details on the event homepage.
