Special Guest: RM Vaughan - Writer, art journalist and video artist

RM Vaughan (author of the celebrated neo-gothic novels Spells and A Quilted Heart) will give a spirited talk on queers in vintage horror cinema, with film clips. After the talk, all are invited to carve pumpkins with Vaughan, who knows his way around large vegetables and table knives. BYOP - Bring Your Own Pumpkin - Prizes for best carvings and best costumes.

Java Knights - Halloween "Pride" Dance Party begins shortly after 9 pm, runs till wee hours. While the Art Bar is a quarter of the size of the space at Rhino's Bar and Grill, where Gay West held the Parkdale Pride Party on June 10, 2006. Drop in for a hour at the Art Bar, before heading off to your favourite location tonight. Meet old friends. Halloween is better than Pride! - Halloween is the gay and lesbian community's Christmas and we celebrate it like nobody's business. Halloween is without a doubt the queerest time of the year.
