The Lesage and Southeast Huntington Lions Clubs are hosting the 32nd Annual Lions Tri-State Arts and Crafts Festival at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in downtown Huntington, WV on December 5, 6, 7, 2008. This year’s show is dedicated to the nationally renowned wildlife artist and participant Chuck Ripper. Other special features will include a booth with hand blown Blenko Glass, a free health fair sponsored by St. Mary’s on Saturday, a Pearl Harbor Day ceremony by the Marine Corps League on Sunday, and a book signing by Dave Lavender. As usual, there will be crafts of all descriptions and artist renditions in all mediums. WV foods, wine, Amish cheese, fudge, apple butter and roasted nuts will all be available. There will be entertainment throughout the festival, a TV raffle, silent auction and door prizes. It is rumored that Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for pictures with the children (and parents who have been good). The girl scouts will provide babysitting during the festival.
100% of all funds raised during this festival will be returned to the community in form of buying glasses and providing eye care for those in need, as well as local assistance to volunteer fire departments, youth sports, boy and girl scouts, food baskets and assistance with preventing blindness and disaster relief at the international level. Come join the fun and help us support those many charitable endeavors.
