Linden String Quartet November 20, 2011

The Linden String Quartet was a winner of the 2010 Concert Artists Guild International Competition. The quartet also won the 2009 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. As Quartet-in-Residence at Yale University, the ensemble has been praised for its "remarkable depth of technique and brilliantly nuanced, sumptuous tonality...delivered with a palpable, infectious joy." Founded in 2008, while students at the Cleveland Institute of Music, the members of the quartet are violinists Sarah McElravy and Catherine Cosbey, violist Eric Wong and cellist Felix Umansky. Tonight's program features works by Schubert, Berg, Kelly Marie Murphy and Ravel.
