Intellectual Property (IP) is essential to the success of any life biotech company and a primary concern to investors, just as technology, market and management. The level of complexity of the issues, the costs, the challenges faced among Offices of Technology Transfers (OTT) make -IP a a major headache issue for the whole industry. To add to the complexity of the current regulations, the United States Patent Office, (USPTO), is about to reform their procedures in a fashion that seems to engender controversy, and apparently pleases no one, to say the least. Our speakers will share their experience on the issues and hopefully some advices that will help us better understand how IP affects the industry.
