At Noon Pacific Time on Friday, April 24, thousands of professional and amateur dancers worldwide-ballet, modern, jazz, ballroom, hop-hop and more-will come together in movement to celebrate the universal importance and joy of movement in Bay Area conceptual artist Beth Fein's fifth annual dance anywhere(R) www.danceanywhere.org

The public is invited to attend scheduled dance events like the one listed here or just stop what they are doing at noon and dance as the mood strikes them. They can document their participation and submit photos, videos and comments to www.danceanywhere.org

Artist and dance anywhere(R) originator Beth Fein says, "This geographically complex work, is an open invitation to all: to stop and dance wherever they will be at noon in San Francisco, 3 pm in New York, 9 pm Paris or Rome...on April 24, 2009 or at the same time wherever they will be." Dance anywhere is a public art project and free to all participants, and the international performance will take place on the first day of National Dance Week: April 24, 2009.

Free.
