Beth Kanter

Leveraging Social Media will be an intimate, free mini-academy for a maximum of twenty-five like-minded arts institutions in the Bay Area. Led by social media expert and industry leader Beth Kanter, this series will consist of two all-day, face-to-face seminars and two webinar sessions in-between. Participants will explore how to develop effective social media strategy for arts and culture organizations, and will allow each participating organization to develop specific “listening and engaging” experiments to learn how to harness social media first-hand.

By the conclusion of the workshop, participants will:
• Understand the basics of a designing an effective social media strategy
• Have a methodology for learning and improving strategy through thoughtful experiments
• Understand how to increase audience engagement in program development and promotion
• Have a methodology for analyzing the return on investment
• Encourage and Inform a particular, local cohort to serve as models and mentors for others
