Anna Politkovskaya was a brave and tenacious journalist for Russia's Novaya Gazeta, one of the country's few independent journalists. In October 2006, she was slain in her apartment building. Filmmaker Eric Bergkraut had met and interviewed Politkovskaya, and these powerful segments are woven into his documentary, along with information on the search for her killers and insight from colleagues and her loved ones.
