PORTLAND, Maine – On March 4, 2011, Lorna Hogan, a single mother, lost two of her six children in an accidental house fire. Despite Hogan’s best efforts to save her daughters, Natalie, 11, and Kelsey, 6, the family is now in deep mourning. The house was destroyed by the fire and the Hogan family is currently living in a small apartment with extended family. They are in need of financial assistance.

In addition to being a mother, Lorna Hogan is a sales professional in Legacy Publishing Company’s Auburn sales center.

Coming to the aid of one of their own, Legacy Publishing Company has organized a fundraising benefit to raise money and show support for Lorna Hogan and her four remaining children. “Lorna is a wonderful mother, hard-worker, valuable employee, and someone who is admired by the community,” says Jim DeWolfe, vice president of sales at Legacy Publishing Company. “Legacy Publishing employees are like a family and we all wanted to do something to help. We encourage members of the Portland community to share in our effort to support this family that is currently in need.”

The Lorna Hogan Relief Fund Benefit will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. on Friday, April 8 at the Fireside Inn & Suites Portland, 81 Riverside Street, Portland. The evening will feature hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and a silent auction, which will include sports memorabilia. Guests will dance to live music provided by the Tony Boffa Band. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased and printed by logging on to www.HoganReliefFund.com.

Those unable to attend the event are encouraged to make a financial contribution to the Hogan Relief Fund at any TD Bank branch office.

For questions, or further information about the event, call DeWolfe at (207) 856-5600 ext. 3024.
