Seven-time Grammy®-nominated Verve Forecast recording artist Ledisi has announced her 2012 North American headlining “BGTY” (Be Good To Yourself) tour and her new book, Better Than Alright: Finding Peace, Love & Power.

The 27-city tour, which crisscrosses the U.S., will hit Greensboro’s White Oak Amphitheatre on Saturday, June 30. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, April 14th at 10:00 a.m.

Ledisi welcomes Eric Benet and Chrisette Michele, who will be opening the show for a perfect musical pairing. Benet consistently makes music that speaks to love and speaks from the soul. Michele won a Grammy Award for Best Urban/Alternative Performance in 2009 for her song "Be OK".

Known for her riveting live shows, New Orleans native Ledisi will give audiences blistering performances of fan favorites “Alright,” “Higher Than This” and “Goin’ Thru Changes,” while seducing them with new classics “Pieces of Me,” “Stay Together” and “Bravo” off her latest album the multiple Grammy® nominated Pieces of Me which is her highest charting album of her career, debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and was the No. 1 iTunes R&B Album upon release. Later this month, Ledisi will debut her new music video for her hit single “Bravo” from her current album, which she recently performed on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
