This class will focus on how your household can reduce the use of utilities, toxic substances, help the environment and keep money in your pockets. The Reduce Your Use, Your Impact, and Save Money class is offered through UNM Continuing Education on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 5-8pm. You will learn how to install water saving appliances and create rain collection barrels. This class is taught by Denise R. Wheeler, instructor of Basic and Intermediate Home Repair classes and coordinator of Community Renovation Empowering Women, a volunteer building group working for agencies serving women and children in New Mexico. Tuition is $35. The class will be held at Taft Middle School at 620 Schulte Road Northwest, Los Ranchos, NM 87107.
