Community gardens can teach sustainable gardening skills, feed the hungry, introduce neighbors, and even save you money. This ninety-minute program will help you to get started in organizing, funding, and planting your own neighborhood garden. Learn about timing, volunteers, tips for success and mistakes to avoid, and good crop choices for beginners and advanced gardeners.

Rain date is May 8.Wear garden-appropriate clothing, including a hat or other sunscreen, bring gloves, a spade and a bucket. The garden will be maintained by volunteers and the food will go to local soup kitchens and food pantries.
