Latin@ Scholarship Festival, Headlining Act: B*side Players!!! April 18, 2009

This Saturday, April 18 from 12:00-9:00PM, Club HOLA will be hosting this year's Latin@ Scholarship Festival. It will be on the Quad at UNC Asheville (the rain location is in Alumni Hall in Highsmith Union). This festival was created to raise money to assist local Latin@ youth going to college. We believe college should be accessible for all and that finances should not be a barrier to obtaining higher levels of education.

Come out for live performances featuring the B*Side Players, a BIG Chican@ band flying all the way from San Diego, California!
Live music and entertainment throughout the day
Other activities include traditional dancing, booths from school organizations and local businesses, a silent auction, food, art, games, and more!

5:00-5:30 Sin Barreras (Traditional Mexican Dance)
5:45-6:15 Traditional Aztec Dance
6:30-? B-Side Players!!!

Festival de Beca Latina:

Música, baile, comida, artes marciales, pintura de cara y gena para los niños, rifas gratis, y otras organizaciones de la comunidad también van a asistir. Todas las ganancias recaudadas en este evento serán usadas para comenzar una beca del Club HOLA que beneficia a estudiantes latinos locales que se gradúen del condado de Bumcombe o de las escuelas de la ciudad de Asheville.
