La Volee d’ Castors

Innovative, energetic, and festive, the music of La Volee d’ Castors—featuring rhythms of violin, accordions, guitar, bass, percussion, and traditional Quebecois foot-tapping— has people all over the world dancing. Fueled by reels and call-and-response songs, the six young musicians play a combination of original and traditional tunes. Together for 13 years, this tight-knit group consists of Sebastien Parent, vocals, guitar, banjo; Frederic Bourgeois, accordion, harmonica, percussion; Martin Mailhot, accordion and bodhran; Mathieu Lacas, violin; Steve Boulay, guitar, mandolin, violin; Frederic Beausejour, bass.
