CESARE vs. DISORDER (aka Queen Atom, Cez, Sire Cactus)

Over the past few years, Italian producer Cesare Marchese aka Cesare vs Disorder's unique productions and performances behind the decks have gained him recognition within the underground house and techno worldwide community. Since being named one of Beatport's "Ones to Watch" in 2009, Cesare has traversed the globe, playing at some of the best clubs alongside some of the biggest names in the industry. When he's not traveling, Cesare spends his time running his two labels (Mean and Serialism) or in the studio, producing music of his own. In 2009, his track "Mean Land" (Thema) was featured on the Cocoon compilation "Sound of the Tenth Season: mixed by Sven Vath". As Queen Atom, his track "Enemy Of Time" was included on the 3rd Watergate CD mixed by Konrad Black. This year, a track from his "Le Plaisir" EP on Clink Recordings, co-produced with Mikael Stavostrand, was added to Camea's well-received Clinkology compilation and also included on the acclaimed Damian Lazarus' "Get Lost Vol.4" compilation on Crosstown Rebels. Currently, Cesare continues to add to his prolific body of work, by dropping two EP's on Dumb-Unit with Jeremy Caulfield and Mikael Stavostrand, and an EP with Inxec, Konrad Black & Cesar Merveille that will hit the street in the next months. Last year Cesare relocated to Berlin, a city that he's always held close to his heart, and is currently working on his first album due in Winter 2012. With a new residency at Kater Holzig (the new Bar25), a Serialism label night at Watergate, and a Mean record night at Weekend Club, Cesare continues to set Berlin's nightlife ablaze.

ALLAND BYALLO

[KONTROL] co-founder Alland Byallo is a man who certainly needs no introduction, but definitely deserves the many accolades he's received. Dubbed an “elegant dark lord of the dance floor” by XLR8R Magazine, Alland Byallo is, depending on the day, a DJ, producer, label owner, graphic designer, event organizer, radio show host, and general dance music workaholic –- a tour de force within the club and underground music scenes.

Born in Los Angeles, Alland began his musical journey at a young age. Trying his hand at piano and trumpet as a young boy and influenced by the experimental electronic sounds of the early 90s, Alland grew captivated with the world of dance music, began experimenting with basic production and eventually bought his first pair of turntables. While working at WAX Records, LA’s now defunct authority on dance music, Alland’s tastes matured, and a move to San Francisco in 2003 saw Alland’s star rise quickly; while in SF, Alland honed his talents DJing at respected venues stateside and overseas, started his own an underground dance music label named Nightlight Music and launched one of California’s most inspired techno-focused nightclub events, yes, our very own [KONTROL].

More recently, a move to Berlin has Alland expanding his horizons and focusing not only on DJing and producing but he has since gained a residency at the city's most well known underground music radio station, TwenFM. His bi-weekly show, The Secret Button, hosts such guests as Sammy Dee, Jin Choi, Trickski, Chopstick, Jeremy P. Caulfield, Pan-Pot, Sasse, Kiki and many more. Add to that his recently launched label Bad Animal, who's proceeds benefit the World Wildlife Fund, and it's not hard to understand why you'll rarely (if ever) find Alland at rest. Endlessly inspired by his new home, Byallo continues to work hard and forge ahead with steady musical output, adding a greater organic touch to his productions – more vocals, more experimentation, and dare it be said, a little more techno soul.

We are excited to welcome the talented Mr. Byallo back from Berlin for an SF EXCLUSIVE two hour feature set on his home court.

OONASLIM

Recent SF transplant Oona Dahlman (aka Oonaslim) is the new DJ of today, representing/reinventing the lady DJs of the world with her innovative sound, her trend-setting looks, and her cosmic attitude. She started DJing in early 2000's in downtown Buffalo, which soon gave rise to the ambition to relocate to where the House music was more popular. She moved to Florida around 2005, where she attended the International Academy of Design of Technology, majoring in Recording Arts and Digital Productions, all the while playing out at some of Tampa’s most popular electronic hotspots. Oona has worked with such international renowned acts such as Sweden’s Zoo Brazil (“Lights” and “Like This”) & J-Break of Cyberian Knights (Oonslim’s remixes of “Artificial Love”,“Electric Delusions”, “Ghetto-Clash”, and “Beauty in Darkness”). With such hard work she’s earned her a spot on Hallucination Recordings with Three, Monk, Grumptronix, Bob Skies and Rabbit in The Moon, as well as regular apperances at SNATCH in Tampa which is run by Hallucination Limited's DJ Three, wth regular releases on beatport.com including 2010's "A Killer" with fellow Hallucination artist Joe Morgan of Joint Custody. She is currently working on a live theatrical music performance; a cross between live electronica and earthy organics, performing her debut at Ultra Music Festival. She’s a regular Proton Radio pioneer, playing on stations such as Balance Record Pool and Subminimal Sessions L8 Night Mix. A future project in the works with Darren Mcfarland of past Buckethead, and engineer for bands like STS9. Mixing organic instruments with analogue synths gives her a unique sound and an other worldly presence.

She’s dark by nature, intriguing, and her layered, 4-deck mixing is nothing short of magic. [KONTROL] is proud to present Oona to her new home in this much anticipated SF DEBUT.
