Butoh, often described as a dance of darkness, has left an indelible mark on contemporary dance. Ko Murobushi is a world-renowned Butoh practitioner and studied under the legendary Tatsumi Hijikata.

In Quicksilver, Ko pushes his body to the limits, his extraordinary muscular body painted entirely silver, shifting and mutating to conjure images of a man at the very edge of life and death. Quicksilver strips away any notions of movement as decoration and plunges both performer and spectator into a timeless mercurial world.
