GEJA’S CAFÉ CELEBRATES NATIONAL KISS AND MAKE UP DAY ON AUGUST 25 WITH COMPLIMENTARY CHAMPAGNE

CHICAGO—On Friday, August 25 Geja’s Café, 340 West Armitage, will encourage feuding couples everywhere to forgive each other on National Kiss and Make Up Day. That day, diners will each receive a complimentary glass of champagne with the purchase of two premiere dinners. An unofficial “house rule” requiring anyone who loses food in the fondue pot to kiss their date will be strongly in effect that evening. Geja’s Café, long known as Chicago’s most romantic restaurant, has been the site of 119,781 first dates and 14,877 engagements in its 41-year history.

Known for romantic fondue dining–food one prepares and shares–and an extensive list of fine, moderately priced wines, Geja’s features over 20 different types of fondue entrees as well as cheese fondue and chocolate dessert fondue. An enchanting wine cellar atmosphere, private booths, and subdued lighting contribute to its intimate surrounding. Live flamenco and classical guitarists serenade diners nightly.

Hours for Geja’s Café are Monday through Thursday, 5 to 10:00 p.m.; Friday, 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; Saturday, 5 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.; and Sunday, 4:30 to 9:30 p.m.
