Gaylen Ross’s compelling documentary examines the life and legacy of Rudolf Kasztner, a World War II Hungarian Jewish aid and rescue committee leader who helped Jewish refugees escape to Hungary from Nazi-occupied Europe. Kasztner is known for negotiations with Eichmann that saved 1,600 Jews from extermination, but he has also been accused of collaborating with the Nazis by failing to warn 400,000 Hungarian Jews that they were being sent to Auschwitz.
