Kids Korps USA Super Star Gala May 15, 2010

Historic Rancho Santa Fe, CA – Kids Korps transports San Diegans to the French Riviera as it brings the elegance and creative spirit of the Cannes Film Festival to its annual “Super Star Gala” on May 15th, 2010 at 5:30 PM. This French-inspired evening will be like no other with its unique twist on the traditional gala, as hosts John & Patricia Queen open their breathtaking private home to guests in the historic neighborhood of Rancho Santa Fe. This year’s gala will celebrate the “Super Stars of the Volunteer Scene”, our members, chapter leaders, parents, sponsors and community partners. From the moment guests arrive they will feel like a star as their gaze is captured with the sight of exotic European automobiles. Guests will mingle among influential community leaders and local celebrities such as host Robin Leach, while enjoying a posh cocktail hour and perusing the star-studded silent auction items. The courtyard and gardens will be transformed to become a canopy of cascading lights overhead, creating a seamlessly starry night where guest will tantalize their palates with a decadent five-course meal. Each course will be a culinary masterpiece for the senses as it is prepared by the region’s finest French culinary chefs in conjunction with the French-American Chamber of Commerce. No French dish would be complete without being paired with some of the best French wines and bubbling champagnes. This unforgettable gala will be the event of the season and is not to be missed as it is a major contributor in providing leadership opportunities that continue to empower our community’s aspiring youth. The vital funds raised from the Super Star Gala will support the Kids Korps USA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth volunteer organization that engages young people, ages 5 through 25, in community service.
