Kesanli Ali Destani: the Legend of Kesanli Ali June 22, 2010

Kesanli Ali returns to his home home, an Istanbul slum, after a long prison sentence. He receives a heroes welcome, having been imprisoned for killing a bully who terrorized the neighborhood. But his legend is actually a ruse, the real story is far from heroic. As he struggles be-tween keeping up apperances and telling the truth, his reputation as a hero and his re-kindling old love with Zilha is put in jeopardy.
