Award-winning cartoonist Keith Knight exhibits work from his popular series The K Chronicles, and will be in attendance at a free wine and cheese reception at the San Francisco City Center Hostel.

Part of a new generation of talented young African American artists who infuse their work with urgency, edge, humor, satire, politics, and race, “Keef” is the creator of the popular comics (Th)ink, The K Chronicles, and the new, nationally syndicated strip The Knight Life. His work has appeared in various print and online publications including Salon.com, ESPN Magazine, MAD Magazine, Funny Times, and L.A. Weekly, and has been collected into six volumes of work.

This event is presented in salute to the 50th anniversary of the Golden Gate Council of Hostelling International USA, as part of a series of free celebrations held at Northern California hostels through the fall. Knight is a former HI employee, and portrayed some of his adventures as a hostel worker in The K Chronicles.
