Kansas Symphony: Beethoven's Pastoral November 24, 2012

Two KCS debuts highlight this concert filled with color and drama. Acclaimed guest conductor Osmo Vanska, Music Director of the Minnesota Orchestra, opens with one of his specialties: Jean Sibelius' tone poem En saga. Lise de la Salle makes her KCS debut with Prokofiev's dazzling First Piano Concerto. Beethoven's tuneful 'Pastoral' Symphony evokes the beauty of nature in sound.
