Jump Start the Holidays with Post-Election Concert AND Dance featuring Junius Courtney Big Band with Denise Perrier

We're excited to invite you to a special event featuring the Junius Courtney Big Band with Denise Perrier -- a concert AND dance at La Pena Cultural Center, 3105 Shattuck Avenue near Ashby, Berkeley. The 19-piece big band will raise roofs and spirits on Sunday evening, November 16th, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The band is heated up from an intense schedule, and has been met with enthusiastic audiences this summer and fall. Those stepping out for the festivities at the Downtown Berkeley Music Festival at the Berkeley Public Library, the crew at Rosie the Riveter’s National Park USO Dance, and revelers at the “Save the Redwoods” benefit at Armstrong Redwoods State Park this summer all burned up their respective dance floors. La Peña will roll up the rug and create thier own dance floor to entice pre-holiday and post-election footwork, and the band will fire up the process. Comfortable seating will be available for those who just want to groove, too.
