Junior Boys frontman Jeremy Greenspan and engineer Matt Didemus met during childhood in Hamilton, Ontario, before starting their musical collaboration in 2003. Musical influences ranging from disco to garage rock to Frank Sinatra fuse into danceable electro-pop that Rolling Stone calls “narcotically alluring.” The group’s latest album, Begone Dull Care, is said to be inspired by Canadian animator Norman McLaren. It was longlisted for Canada’s prestigious Polaris Music Prize in 2009.
