House music came from Chicago. But had it, just maybe, been born a few miles north - like, let's say, Canada - it could have sounded a lot different. There would still be synths, and four-to-the-floor beats, but the vibe would be poppier, somehow airier. It would sound a lot like the music that the Junior Boys make on their latest album So This is Goodbye.
