“XANADU”
Directed by Robert Greenwald
(1980; USA; 93 mins; Technicolor)
Olivia Newton-John hams it up as a roller-skating Greek muse daughter of Zeus summoned to unite a sad-sack graphic designer with a former big band performer (Gene Kelly), inspiring both to open the nightclub of their dreams: Xanadu! Olivia Newton-John and Electric Light Orchestra deliver one of the ‘80s most memorable soundtracks! Also featuring San Francisco punk legends The Tubes.
