Julius Shulman signing LACMA's 2007 Art Museum Council Calendar December 16, 2006

Meet legendary L.A. photographer Julius Shulman in the LACMA Gift Store this Saturday. Shulman is internationally known for his photographs of modern buildings, especially those in Los Angeles. His iconic images include structures by Frank Lloyd Wright, Richard Neutra, Rudolf M. Schindler, and Frank Gehry as well as many other architects.

Shulman--who recently celebrated his 96th birthday--will be signing LACMA's beautiful 2007 Art Museum Council calendar featuring his stunning photography. Also available will be the hard-to-find Case Study Houses, and his newest book, Malibu: A Century of Living by the Sea. Proceeds from the sale of this calendar help support the projects of The Art Museum Council of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The Art Museum Council operates the Art Rental & Sales Gallery and conducts fundraising activities for museum programs, acquisitions, and exhibitions.
