Julie Chen Julie Chen was named an anchor of The Early Show, CBS News' weekday morning broadcast, in October 2002. Before that, Chen served as news anchor of The Early Show and anchor of the CBS Morning News, the CBS Television Network's early-morning, half-hour broadcast, since November 1999, when The Early Show debuted. Chen also hosts Big Brother, a summer reality series, for CBS. Before joining CBS News, Chen was a reporter for WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-97). She was a producer for ABC NewsOne (1992-95), that network's affiliate news service, and she was a desk assistant in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-91), where she worked on the award-winning primetime special Anatomy of a Riot. She graduated from the University of Southern California in 1991 with a degree in broadcast journalism and English.

Dave Price was named the weatherman and a featured reporter for CBS News' The Early Show in July 2003. Previously, Price had served as the weather anchor/co-host for Fox 5 New York's highly rated morning program since July 1999. For the last eight months of that period, he also was a features reporter for the syndicated program Good Day Live. In New York, Price was the recipient of two Emmy Awards, for Best Feature Series and Best Host and was one of People magazine's 50 most eligible bachelors in 2001. Price's broadcasting career was launched at WSEE-TV Erie, PA, where he took a job as the station's morning and noon weathercaster (1995-96) -- after having spent eight years as a corporate human resources executive. A successful life-changing effort to lose 80 pounds and a chance meeting with a small-market television personality led to that career switch. He graduated from Cornell University in 1987 with a BS in industrial and labor relations and from Columbia University in 1993 with a master's degree in organizational psychology.
