Praised by The New York Times for her “rich tone,” “sweet, throbbing vibrato,” and “superb playing,” Canadian cellist Julia MacLaine joins acclaimed American and British soloists in the Ikarus Chamber Players. The international ensemble has appeared at major concert halls throughout the world. Its members are part of Carnegie Hall’s resident Ensemble ACJW. Presented as part of Carnegie Hall’s Neighborhood Concert Series, Ikarus will perform a program that will include: Ravel’s String Quartet in F, Mozart’s Quintet for Clarinet and Strings in A Major, K. 581, Gershwin’s Three Preludes, and more.
