Indie musician Julia Barry (vocals, piano) performs live with John Lenis (bass). Earning acclaim for elastic melodies, substantive lyrics, and powerhouse piano-playing, Barry's live sets have been described as "mesmerizing" and "provocative." Her agile, intimate vocals are simultaneously melancholy and sweet, a fusion of gritty (think Tori Amos), wistful (Beth Gibbons of Portishead), sultry (Diana Krall), and luminous (Joni Mitchell).
