The star performers of Juilliard Baroque and the students of Juilliard415 play diverse Vivaldi concertos that feature exotic instrumentation and unusual affects. Examples are a viola d'amore accompanied by muted horns and oboes, a flute imitating a goldfinch, and a bassoon conjuring up the night. A violin concerto closes the concert with a full string orchestra, horns and oboes.
