One of the most influential songwriters of the late 20th century, known primarily for her acoustic folk, Joni Mitchell also turned to jazz musicians, creating a thrilling new context for her songs. This evening, led by drummer/musical director Brian Blade, celebrates songs from the daring jazz-based recordings of Mitchell – including a complete performance of her 1975 masterpiece The Hissing of Summer Lawns – with all-star special guest singers and musicians.
