Joni Morris, who is best known for her tribute performances of classic country music figures, returns to the Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton. Always a sell-out, this time Morris and her After Midnight Band present their Tribute to the Legendary Ladies of Country Music. The show is one performance only.

A singer, actress, and songwriter, Joni Morris is widely respected for her shows honoring the great Patsy Cline and Connie Francis, as well as for writing, performing and recording her own music. In addition to music performed by Cline and Francis, this show will also feature songs by Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton, Emmy Lou Harris, and a host of other famous artists.

Born in Modesto, Calif., and raised in Stockton, Joni says her career started out almost by accident. As a busy mom shuttling her daughter to piano lessons, Morris noticed a door down the hall advertising voice lessons. "I decided why not take voice lessons instead of just waiting in the lobby," she says. The decision to step through that door would ultimately put Morris on an entirely new career path that would include national tours, CD releases, sold-out shows, and critical acclaim.

Having toured nationally for more than a decade, she has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry stage and other notable venues. She has even portrayed Patsy Cline in the Columbia Actors Repertory stage production "Always Patsy Cline," to rave reviews.

The Tribute to the Legendary Ladies showcases Morris' authentic sound, dazzling costumes she collects from the golden era of the 50s and 60s, comedic interludes, and of course her wonderful audience interaction. Favorites like "Crazy," "I Fall to Pieces," "Sweet Dreams," and "Where the Boys Are" will fill the set lists. Not to be missed.
