Jon Rappleye: End of Nature February 27, 2009

This display is a fairy tale landscape, a re-creation of cultural folklore and a personal mythology created by Jon Rappleye. His meticulous drawings and glazed slip-cast vitreous china sculptures depict a world populated by recurring fantastical creatures and strange botanical hybrids. 'End of Nature' blurs the lines between the organic and manmade and illustrates an uncertain and mysterious future.
