Canada's great wilderness is decreasing at an alarming rate. Less than 10% of our land and 1% of our water is protected. The Big Wild needs your help to protect at least half of Canada's public land and water before it's too late.

Join us on May 8th at 7pm at the MEC Broadway Store to learn about the Big Wild and how you can get involved through a Big Wild Challenge.

What: The Big Wild
When: Appetizers served at 6:30pm, presentation at 7pm on Thursday, May 8th
Where: Mountain Equipment Co-op, 130 West Broadway
What is the Big Wild?

The Big Wild refers to the part of Canada that is still in its natural state, where rivers flow free, big lakes and oceans lap against wild shores and animals roam.

Our vision is to keep at least half of Canada's public land and water wild forever.

The Big Wild is you and me, and every person across Canada who cares about conserving our environment.

Following a short presentation, we will be screening the short movie Borealis, which follows Frank Wolf and Taku Hokoyama as they canoe 3,100 km through the remote Boreal forest of Manitoba and Ontario. Appetizers and refreshments will be provided from 6:30pm onwards!
