Join the media revolution! This Meet the Vloggers event is a basic introduction to the medium, and will include a screening of vlog entries made by the presenters as well as by videobloggers from around the world. The vloggers will also address how to find and subscribe to vlogs.

Meet the Vloggers is an international confluence of media makers and software developers who have banded together with the express purpose of educating anyone who wants to learn how to make and post video content to the world wide web. In future, they will host hands-on sessions that address all aspects of the creation and delivery of video for the web through videoblogging.

A vlog (short for videoblog) is a blog (short for weblog) that uses video for its primary content. What makes putting video content in a videoblog particularly exciting right now is the advent of a new technology (RSS 2.0 with enclosures). With RSS came distribution. On the consumer end, an RSS reader program automatically downloads updated video content that may be viewed at subscribers? convenience. Videoblogs take the next evolutionary step from text and audio into the compelling world of motion pictures.
