As part of this year’s Colon Cancer Challenge in New York, please join the “Beth Israel Cares” team in the 9th Annual Colon Cancer Challenge Walk/Run in Central Park! The 1.7 Mile Remembrance & Prevention Walk will take place on Sunday, April 1st in Central Park at 9am at the East 72nd Street entrance. The “Beth Israel Cares” team is organized by Beth Israel Colonoscopy Patient Navigator, Kendra Blanco and colon cancer survivor Cindy Martinez, a patient of Dr. Joseph Martz

Over 150,000 new cases of colon cancer will be diagnosed in the United States this year and 50,000 people will die. The good news is that with early screening, colon cancer is preventable, treatable and beatable. Together, we can support research and raise public awareness in an effort to reduce colorectal cancer incidence and death.
