COMING TO GREENSBORO



Greensboro, NC (March 17, 2012) -- Two-time Grammy nominated, four-time Gold-selling artist and six-time Emmy Award winner John Tesh will bring his 2012 Summer U.S. Tour to Greensboro’s White Oak Amphitheatre on Saturday, July 21.



Tickets will go on sale Saturday, March 23 at 10:00 a.m. at www.ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster’s Charge-By-Phone Network at 1-800-745-3000, Ticketmaster outlets at select Walmart locations and the Greensboro Coliseum advance box office.



The upcoming tour is part of a three-fold campaign for the next phase in his musical career, including the release of his “John Tesh: Big Band Live!” album and national public television special. The album will be available digitally and on CD nationwide on April 17. His public television special distributed by American Public Television (APT) is Tesh’s biggest production since his landmark “Live At Red Rocks” and is also titled “John Tesh: Big Band Live!”. The special will begin airing this month and continue through 2012. His national summer U.S. tour launches May 1.



The “John Tesh: Big Band Live!” album will include tunes recorded in-studio of the songs featured on the live public television special that will run nationwide on public television stations through the end of the year (check local listings). The CD and televised special will feature arrangements of nine standards and three familiar Tesh originals including “The Summer Wind,” “I’ve Got The World On A String,” “The Way You Look Tonight,” “Blue Skies,” “In The Mood,” “Sway” and “Beyond The Sea,” “Barcelona,”“Spanish Steps” and “Give Me Forever.”



Tesh’s 25-year career includes six hit public television specials, a string of #1 radio hits, and an award winning daily and weekly syndicated radio show, “Intelligence For Your Life”, which airs on more than 350 stations across the U.S., Canada and the U.K., with 14.5 million listeners. Tesh also runs an advertising and marketing company, TeshMedia, which handles clients such as General Motors, Home Depot, Macy’s, Kohl’s, Petsmart, Amway, Geico Insurance and PetSmart.
