Known as the pre-eminent society portraitist of the Gilded Age, John Singer Sargent (1856-1925) had a long and varied career that included plein-air landscapes, murals, watercolors, and skillful drawings. A variety of works drawn from the Corcoran's holdings will be on display in the Rotunda.
