St. Louis native, Jim Byrnes, saw the early bluesmen as songsters who interspersed their songs with anything that got the crowd to take note, including spirituals, popular music and folk songs. Byrnes has used this in life as well, as he’s spent the last few decades dabbling in music and acting. Conveniently enough, this double-bill with Matt Anderson will incorporate critically acclaimed rock and blues, with a big dose of good humour and personality. Anderson has a larger than life showmanship earning him a steadfast audience wherever he graces the stage.
