Common Ground has a very simple mission statement according to president, Rosanne Haggerty, “Common Ground’s mission is to solve homelessness. We accomplish our mission by moving homeless people from streets and shelters into homes, and by assisting those most vulnerable to homelessness to maintain their housing.” All ticket sales will go toward Common Ground’s new Green Initiative, which will incorporate eco-friendly design elements in its affordable housing residences.

Jezebel Music, sponsored by Sam Ash Music Stores and Budweiser, is an innovative music and event promotion company capturing the imagination of the New York independent music scene, with a focus on Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Levitt’s constant attention to fusing Williamsburg’s complex musical community into one giant organism has lent to his success. According to Levitt, “We look at independent music with a focus on the art of song, from punk to folk. We are not guided by any single genre or musical style. Very simply, we find and promote top independent music to help the musicians grow their careers and to create great shows for music fans.”

Each month Jezebel Music chooses a Feature who gains exceptional promotion through Jezebel’s website, JezebelMusic.com, the weekly newsletter, street promotion, and the Monthly Feature Show. This year’s Benefit will showcase eight past Jezebel Music Monthly Features: Via Audio, Black Bunny, Jaymay, Leah Siegel, Lowry, Black Spoons, Proton Proton, and Sexy Champions (of Dynasty Electric). Alex Lowry, songwriter and lead singer of the critically acclaimed folk rock band Lowry says, “Jezebel has come a long way since they first discovered my music 3 years ago. As far as sheer musical talent is concerned, this is the most amazing line-up of musical acts NorthSix has ever seen on any single bill. I’m very happy to be a part of this concert and I’m happy to be part of a great cause.”
