Mix equal parts lilting piano, rich vocals, and quirk and you have piano-based singer/songwriter, Jessica Ripka. Born in Manhattan, raised outside of DC, and currently splitting her time between Detroit and Los Angeles, her car gets as much mileage as her music. With Toms Shoes selecting tracks from her first EP for their 2010 Holiday Promotions campaign and Emmy Award winner, Stephen McGee, offering to film her first music video, her melodic pop is picking up speed. She's currently collaborating with Nashville-based producer and fellow songwriter, Brooke Waggoner, for her sophomore record scheduled for a 2012 release.
