THE STOOP CONCERT SERIES PRESENTS JESSY TOMSKO, RACHEL ZYLSTRA & JASON HARROD, & THE BUILDING MAY 18TH
NYC indie bands showcased at Hell’s Kitchen landmark Church For All Nations.
NEW YORK, New York – April 12, 2013 – The Stoop, a distinctive music venue in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen, is thrilled to present NYC indie bands Jessy Tomsko, Rachel Zylstra with Jason Harrod, and The Building on Saturday, May 18th.

The evening will kick off with the Brooklyn based band, The Building led by Anthony LaMarca. The Building soundscapes original romantic American music and is signed with the label Primary Records.

Indie pop singer/songwriter/pianist Rachel Zylstra will share her genuinely crafted lyrics and impressive piano stylings in a collaboration with NYC favorite Jason Harrod. Scott Alarik of The Boston Globe praises Harrod saying, “What makes his songs so compelling is their emotional eloquence.”

Jessy Tomsko has a love for music that transcends the simple pop tunes that plague much of today’s music scene. With her heartfelt lyrics and self-penned melodies, Jessy celebrates life and love in her acoustic renditions brought to life on the many stages of New York City. She’s also had the honor of sharing the stage with artists such as David Berkeley, James Maddock, John Francis, Amber Rubarth and Ari Hest among many others. In 2011, she teamed up with Concerthouse Music Management and Blue Pie Records.

The event will be emceed by Chris MacIntosh (aka “Grandfather Rock”) of WCWP Radio’s “Rock N Soul Gospel”. Doors open at 7:30 pm., and showtime is at 8pm. While the concert is free/pay-what-you-wish, The Stoop will be accepting suggested donations of $12. Patrons will receive a free gift with the full suggested cover. All drinks and concessions including beer and wine are inexpensively priced under $5.

The Stoop Concert Series and venue are presented by Music Forum of Church For All Nations, Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. Church for All Nations is sponsoring the series in providing the landmark venue as a contribution to the cultural and spiritual life of Hell's Kitchen.
